QUALIFICATIONS (Entry level): MSc
Education Requirement :
B.Sc. Chemistry or Diploma Chemical engineering
Experience Requirement :
Preferably, 2 years in QA/QC discipline.

Job Location : Navi Mumbai
Job Purpose
Inspection of received routine samples and distribution of samples as per type of analysis to the different sections of the laboratory.
Communicate to shift in charge for any abnormal samples or non-receipt of routine sample as per schedule.
Adherence to standard test methods or work instructions and compliance to Quality system procedures.
Carry out required tests and confirms test results by using validation techniques before reporting for ensuring reliability of the result.
Detect exceptions or deviations in test results and highlight / report to concern.
Perform on-spot mitigation in emergency situation under the guidance of the shift in charge.
Ensure effective sample management.
Dispose left over samples safely in the identified container.
Ensure timely entry of test results in LIMS.
Ensure availability of analytical gears (instrument/equipment/glassware etc.) by cleaning and maintaining them for next experiment / test.
Maintain Good housekeeping in laboratory.
Data Management
Proper entries of results recording in the raw data book / LIMS / process register / and maintain in individual raw data book for recording work carried out.
HSE & other regulatory compliance
Follow applicable HSEF procedures/ practices
Stay aware of environmental, site, statutory, IP regulations
Handle chemicals and tools as per safety norms
Ensure safe working conditions.
Report unsafe act / unsafe condition to lab management for correction.
Learning & mentoring
Self-initiative for trainings to enhance competencies
Participate in external trainings and events as advised by the section head.

HSE Policy, Principles, Standards and Procedures & Practices
Ensure the upkeep of laboratory equipment to provide accurate data. Review validity of analysis and test methods
Organize/support synthesis experiments, polymerization experiments and activities in pilot plan operations.
Maintain lab calibration and maintenance records as per requirements.
Handle trending, analysing, interpreting the data
with instrumental and statistical software packages.
Plan and execute for design, execution and evaluation of research projects, including literature reviews, surveys, focus groups, data integration and analysis.
Manage and analyze data collection projects by meeting deadlines, entering data, learn and use
technology to do these tasks more efficiently.
Produce, prepare and present within group written, tabular and visual materials for research reports and presentations in Tableau.
Use Laboratory Information Management Systems (“LIMS”) and ELN system for data entry. Handle and
protect confidential and sensitive data with care.
Assist staff in logistical management of the centre,
including acquisition of supplies, inventory management, and bookkeeping.
Ensure safe operation of instruments and following of safety guidelines. Ensure and report any safety gaps observed in respective lab
Maintain MSDS, Technical data sheets and reports pertaining to R&D project samples.
Maintain any specific data as required by the assigned task.
HSE & F and other regulatory compliances: Follow
applicable HSE & F procedures/ practices in Laboratory.
Maintain awareness of environmental regulations, site regulations and adhere to them.
Handle chemicals and tools as per safety norms while conducting laboratory experiments.
Understand MSDS of chemicals being handled in R&D projects sample preparation and become
knowledgeable on instrument emergency situations.
Maintain safety in laboratory and good housekeeping at work place.
Learning and mentoring: Participate in identified
learning programmes related to (a) analytical characterization techniques in the laboratory and (b) general safety.
Skills & Competencies :
Relevant knowledge of the test procedure and results reporting as per standard method requirement.
Sample Handling as per category and performing analysis as per standard method.
Knowledge of process stream samples with respect to critical results.
Ability to learn different types of chemical / Instrumental testing.
Effective communication for any abnormal / off spec result to Shift In-charge.
