Job Description




Contribute towards achieving organisation's vision of "Global Partner of Choice" by focusing on identifying new business opportunities and driving their execution - Deepen existing customer relationships and develop new customers/partners to achieve the organization's strategic objectives on the Company Growth dimension of Aarti 18-21 Strategy
New Opportunities Identification
- Scan the market for new opportunities through secondary research and participation in industry conferences

- Meet current and new customers to identify new business opportunities 

- Ensure that all opportunities are duly captured and evaluated as per the opportunity capture process defined in the BD element

- Explore avenues to initiate new projects in the existing facilities and further extend existing value chains

- Evaluate new value chain opportunities and formulate business cases for such opportunities New Product Development

- Work closely with R&D and Technology Development teams to shepherd new product development projects through the stage gate process

- Create and deliver customer communications at various stages such as submission of indicative pricing, capex estimates, proposals, etc.

- Take accountability for defining timelines for individual projects and their progression through the stage gate process

- Drive Gate Transition Review meetings and complete all the required documentationBusiness Case Formulation 

- Articulate business case for identified opportunities as per internal guidelines and templates 

- Conduct sensitivity analysis on key assumptions in the business case 

- Coordinate with various functions such as R&D, Pilot Plant and Technology to progressively refine the business case 

- Prepare presentations for top management and investment committee for seeking approvals on required investmentsPartnerships 

- Explore opportunities for partnerships with local and global players in the industry to capitalize on market, product value chain, technology or asset synergies 

- Prepare for and participate in discussions with potential partners 

- On a case to case basis, take ownership for realization of partnerships identified to be of strategic value to the organization Outsourcing and Contract Manufacturing

- Identify outsourcing/contract manufacturing partners based on project-specific needs

- Coordinate with Safety and Technology teams to conduct safety audits and approve engineering designs/SOPs of existing and new processes at vendor sites

- Plan periodic audits at vendors' sites, document any deviations in processes/systems and drive corrective actions

- Assess vendor capability and reliability based on periodic audits and communicate the results to the respective vendors

- Contribute towards industry benchmarking of guidelines for vendor selection and qualification Planning and Project Management

- Wherever required, participate in coordination and review of different projects (including new product development projects) to meet cost, scope and time constraints

- Submit a closing report for the projects to the management indicating achieved outcome (Planned vs Actual parameters)Process Improvement

- Look for opportunities to improve and add to the core processes described in the BD element to make them more practical and suited to business needs

- Continuously work on standardizing repetitive aspects of the job to improve productivity and reliability

- Ensure that all processes have documented SOPs (Standard operating procedures)
