Job Description
- Perform bottleneck identification simulations and predict capacity improvements by debottlenecking each constraint
- Identification of opportunities for total cycle time reduction and propose alternative process equipment connections or new equipment to maximize the capacity during a multi-product split.
- Utilize modeling tools to understand logistics constraints and translate to efficient production plans.
- Optimization of product cost during a multi-product split.
- Support process project team to plan, identify & eliminate technical obstacles & deliver process engineering projects complete cycle.
- Build knowledge about Grace manufacturing process technology. Participate in global teams that address Process Engineering problems.
- Provide verbal and written communications about progress and results from projects.
- Carry out technology tracking and provide technology intelligence report in areas of interest to Grace.
- Provide customer technical support to Grace Customers in around the globe as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent subject knowledge on chemical engineering principles and Working knowledge on simulation software Matlab, Aspen plus, Aspen Dynamics.
- Proficient in Fortran and/or C programming languages./Windows and Linux knowledge
- Should have knowledge on solid particle and solid-liquid/solid-gas modeling and simulation knowledge
- Should have good numerical methods knowledge
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability for effective teamwork.
- High initiative and ability to meet deadlines and deliver results
Required Experience
- Excellent chemical engineering background knowledge and working experience on Mathematical Modeling of engineering problems.
- Min. 3 years of experience in chemical or petrochemical industry.
- Preferred Qualifications
B.E/M.E. in Chemical Engineering from a Premier educational institution in India
