Job Responsibilities :

Abide by safe operating procedures within operating range

Act as first responder to emergencies

Suggest safety improvements

Safe handling of hazardous materials and plant wastes Contribute to housekeeping

Support contract workmen on safe working

Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs,SOCs,LLF checklist and ODR instruments

Coordinate closely with shift superintendent/panel executive

Collect and deliver samples from the field for laboratory testing

Report promptly any abnormal observations to shift engineer /panel executive

Handover / takeover of equipment from maintenance

Perform condition monitoring using portable instruments (ODR)

Perform minor troubleshooting

Perform minor maintenance

To contribute towards reduction of waste /handling of chemicals

To operate equipment efficiently

Identify and suggest opportunities for improvement

Following latest safety guidelines, management guide line like, TQM, EFQM, QCC, 5S etc.

Maintain shift logs for respective area /equipment

Follow instructions received from shift superintendent /engineer /panel officer

Job Description for the position of 'Field Executive' Resin Plant, RCS

Job Accountabilities:

1) Cross check of raw materials received from stores as per reservation slip given regarding quantity and grades of batches.

2) Segregation of raw materials as per batch planning quantity and shift to charging floor with the help of CL manpower as per batch planning to respective Reactors.

3) Daily toolbox talk give to CL manpower regarding batch SOP’S & production batch planning for smooth & safe work

4) Responsibility of safe raw material charging as per SOP for safe charging communication with Panel officer.

5) CL manpower utilization in process to complete Job work within planned period.

6) Checking status of all equipment used in production for smooth working.

7) Supervise following activities:

a. Unloading of liquid raw material tanker in tank farm with all safety measures.

b. Loading of finish goods in tanker load with all safety measures.

c. Loading finish goods in drums & carboys as per customer requirement with proper identification of labels.

d. Unloading of empty drums & carboys with respective area and check the quality of each drums.

8) Maintain cooling tower and chiller water levels & bio-coal to near thermic fluid with coordinate with CL manpower.

9) In Unsaturated Polyester Resin Batch there are some critical time to control by coordinating with Panel operator & CL manpower. Critical Point as follows.

a. Charging of Liquid & Solid Raw Materials.

b. UPR is the Exothermic Reaction so at the time of distillation control the Exotherm.

c. Applying and Releasing Vacuum on time.

d. Blending batch in Styrene. Styrene is crosslinking monomer, so at the time of blending blender temperature maintain up to 60° C. if the temp. goes up the styrene double bonds breaks & batch gets polymerized.

10) Trouble shooting during running batches.

11) Styrene tank chiller operation.

12) Preparing packing list & check list of finish goods as per dispatch.



Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills): 

1) Thermoset resin operating experience

2) Skill to manage continuous or batch process operations in petrochemicals/ \fine chemicals/ adhesives/ paints industry.


Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications):

1) Minimum 2 years of plant operating experience. Preferably thermoset resin plant operations.

2) Minimum Diploma Chemical / B.Sc Chemistry / MSc. in Polymer

Education Requirement :
B.Sc. or Diploma in Chemical Engineering OR ITI / NCTVT

Experience Requirement :
Relevant Experience B.Sc / Diploma holder 2 years OR ITI with min 5 years in Field Operations

Skills & Competencies :

Good housekeeping

Upkeep of Fire and Safety equipment in his area

Field logbook / LLF checklist

Segregation of waste

Maintain equipment health through LLF and report equipment abnormality

Fulfillment of identified training needs for self
