Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist

Job Location:Wockhardt Research Center, Aurangabad, Maharashtra

Function: Biotech R&D-Upstream Process Development

Experience: 3-8 years

Qualification: M.Tech (Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Chemical Engineering)/ MS/M.Sc (Bio Technology, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry) / Ph.D. (Bio-Chemistry/Bio Technology/Microbiology/ Chemistry)

Job Role:
1. Planning and execution of experiments for upstream process development of chosen molecules using: microbial and mammalian host cells.

2. Preparation of documents for batch records, validation reports and related documents for technology transfer and regulatory filings.

3. Preparation of MCB's & WCB's for R&D and Production as per requirement.

4. Carry out maintenance related to the facility utilities and equipment for smooth functioning. 5. Evaluation of raw material for developmental and regular activities related to fermentation process development.

Desired Competencies:
1. Must have knowledge of microbiological techniques to deal with live organisms and closed systems. 
2. Knowledge of different media, host cells/strains and fermentation technologies used for Biosimilar/ Biologics upstream process development.
3. Must be well versed with aseptic environment.
