1.Production
• To guide the production team in resolving breakdowns in minimum time, conduct discussion with plant team regarding breakdowns and planning for rectification with Engineering team and HOD.
• To guide the team to generate OEE data, identify the bottleneck of the process, carry out technical validation/revalidation with engineering team and Plant managers.
• Analyze production report from plant managers against production plan. Take necessary action in case of any abnormalities.
• To ensure that steps are being taken to minimize change over time and decontamination procedures are being followed as per procedure
• Conduct Plant round for checking in-process parameter in critical area, finding any abnormal scenario, unsafe conditions, and in case of any abnormal scenario take necessary actions to resolve.
• Provide all the production data and communicate abnormalities & critical issues (if any) to top management.
• To conduct brain storming sessions with plant team for improvements ideas
• Carry out RCA for any failure & compliance of CAPA. Close monitoring of critical parameter affecting quality on a daily basis.
2.Engineering
• Overall in-charge of the site engineering and manage implementation activities within the stipulated time and cost
• Responsible for carrying appropriate site planning to prepare for the project implementation
• Closely interacts with the detailed engg consultants to ensure the compliance to quality and delivery schedule
• Supports HR function to recruit manpower as required by the project
• Ensures selection of good contractors for each area and makes systems for effective monitoring of their work
• Actively get involved during the project execution stage including pre-commissioning activities and take lead in assuring quality in line with design requirements.
• Audit the checklists prepared for erection and pre-commissioning of the plant and make sure that they are strictly followed.
3.Safety & 5S
• Ensure compliance with regards to pollution control, statutory regulations, and pressure vessels are available in time for all project activities.
• Ensure that periodic review systems are put in place to maintain Safety and Environment
• Ensure compliance to safety, health and environment through periodic reviews.
• To guide the team to identify any leakage/spillage during daily plant round, discussing with plant managers about their observation regarding leakage and helping them to take corrective actions to eliminate/rectify of all leakages.
4.Vendor Development
• Regularly interacts with vendors and resolves the issues related to Quality of procured items
• Carries out Vendor evaluation on continual basis to make sure that requirements are understood and implemented suitably
Systems
• Audits Project management systems during the implementation stage.
• Ensures that equipment requirements are clearly understood and incorporated into the design stage.
• Generate monthly reports for project progress covering highlights, performance, improvements achieved, issues, countermeasures and future plans.
5.Quality
• Makes sure that the quality assurance systems for equipment procurement are followed in letter and spirit.
• Non-compliances, if any, are analyzed and countermeasures taken from time to time
• The operations requirements are understood and incorporated in the project activities through suitable systems
6.Co-ordination
• Holds meetings with projects persons at site to ensure that everybody is aligned to the weekly, monthly and longer term goals
• Identifies the issues that come up from time to time and take countermeasures
• Highlights the issues in regular reports along with actions taken and current status
Team work
• Deploys people according to the work requirements on day to day basis
• Motivate the people working under me to meet the set targets.
Statutory and legal compliance during project stage
• Make sure that all statutory compliances are duly met
• Comply to statutory requirements as per Factories act, Petroleum rules, PESO regulations etc
• Liaise with consultant-External Liaison for ensuring the compliance
7.Budgeting
• Monitor the expenses on various areas through out the project period. Report such expenses on monthly basis with detailed analysis
• Responsible for monitoring and control of budgeted expenses through systematic approach
People Development
• Identify the development needs of each individual through reviewing their work, also develop them for future leadership level position
• Prepare and audit training manuals suitable to be used for newly recruited people
• Enable the production & maintenance team to efficiently handle plant operations by training and coaching the team.
