We are looking for a dedicated scientist to independently design, develop, and validate oncology cell-based functional assays.

Job Role : In-vitro biologist

Department : R&D (API)

Job Description For Natco Pharma Job: 

· PhD in life sciences with 8-10 years of drug discovery/ CRO in vitro experience.

· In vitro assay development, validation and optimization of cell based assay and enzyme based assay for various targets in the respective therapeutic areas such as immunology/Oncology in Drug Discovery field.

· Experience with immunology research related technologies: human whole blood, PBMCs, T-cells, primary human and mouse/rat leukocyte isolation, cytokine assays.

· Hands on cell culture experience including primary human cells.

· Experience with molecular, cellular and biochemical techniques in 96/384 well format

· Ability to plan and execute detailed cell treatment protocols in 96/384-well format.

· Conduct and troubleshoot a wide range of biological/molecular/biochemical assays including, but not limited to: cell-based assays in primary human cells, ELISAs, 3D assays, HTRF, Alpha-LISA, viability assays, Apoptosis assay, invasion assays, RT-PCR, Western blotting, microscopy, Experience with screening (Small molecules preferred).

· Working extensively in the area functional cell based assays, validated the same to determine the activity of new chemical entities (NCEs).

· Supporting the Discovery Head in their various aspects such as building biology capabilities, and other functional initiatives that span across the organization from the Discovery Biology perspective.

· Supporting the discovery projects and troubleshooting the Biology related problems during drug discovery.

· Exploring scientific journals in order to find new ways/techniques to develop the in vitro models in a robust and reproducible manner

· Able to take direction, work independently and troubleshoot.

· Follow ethical guidelines towards validation, data analysis and maintenance.

· Responsible for writing of Protocols, uploading of the data, Lab note book record keeping and SOP writing.

· Mentoring juniors to train them for ongoing in vitro studies and research technologies.
