We have an excellent opportunity as a Section Head - Multi Effect Evaporator + Granulator at Grasim Chemical division, Vilayat, Bharuch.

Department: MEE + Granulator

Experience: 10+ years

Qualification : B.E./B. Tech Chemical

Designation: Deputy Manager / Manager

Product Experience : MEE (Multi Effect Evaporator) Plant experience is must.

Job Description:

Production/ Operations: Co-ordinate and implement various activities to achieve production targets within time schedule & budget for MEE & CaCl2 :

Implement production processes

Check plant performance parameters on daily basis and report

Implement set operation parameters and consumption norms

Share management decisions/plans down the line for better execution

Ensure proper and timely dispatches of goods in coordination with marketing

Product Quality: Implement process parameters for quality requirements as per customer needs

Monitor & Maintain process quality parameters

Control parameters to optimize consumption of chemicals 

Reduce chronic losses like aluminum consumption, packaging cost by process optimization

Plant Performance: Implement plans to ensure optimum plant performance for achieving targets:

Support in implementation of maintenance activities (in coordination with engineering) to ensure minimum losses

Follow Standard Operating Procedures for maximum efficiency and less damage

Check & inform breakdown failures, shutdown losses, etc. to maintenance department

Coordinate with maintenance department for availability of manpower and spare equipment when required

Operational efficiency & Continuous Improvement : 

Apply different problem solving tools to reduce the breakdowns 

Check process parameter deviations

Debottleneck and follow SOPs to avoid any damages

Manage the shift activities and prepare daily reports

Timely make available all material, resources and infrastructure to the team for efficient operations

Life of the chlorine nozzle (graphite tube)

Delivering products as per customer’s need with special focus on overseas market.

Maintaining <20% powder is a major challenge

Assuring uninterrupted chlorine supply to plant in routine & emergency scenario.

Safety of the plant and people in absence of proven technical safe process.

Technological up gradation in MEE packaging

Reduction in packaging cost per MT of product in the present manual process.

Developing 2nd line for the manufacturing process.

Abiding by the changing environmental norms for uninterrupted manufacturing.

Disposal of solid waste as per the regulations

Replacement of MEE reactors

Developing 2nd line for the manufacturing process

Abiding by the changing environmental norms for uninterrupted manufacturing.

Disposal of solid waste as per the regulations
