Opening for Manager - R&D Biotechnology (MS&T - Downstream Processing)

Job Location : Baroda

Qualification: Ph.D. or Master Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, with a minimum of 8-12 years of relevant industry experience.

Provides technical and scientific leadership as subject matter expert (SME) relating to Downstream technology transfers, manufacturing processes, complex deviations, technical troubleshooting, CAPA design and implementation, process monitoring, change control and process optimization.

2. Manage MSAT development projects, including regular team meetings and updates, data management, investigations, technical report writing, and regulatory filings.

3. Manage technology transfer including projects for internal and external partners.

4. Downstream Process development experience, Chromatography, TFF-UD/DF, micro filtration, nano filtration, and filtration

5. Authoring and executing protocols, interpretation of data, and report generation.

Providing guidance for comprehensive facility fit assessments and gap analysis for the relevant part of the GMP manufacturing.

Partnering with other functions to apply e.g., modelling tools ensuring that scale-down/up and characterization of manufacturing processes is robust and scientifically sound leading to a predictable and highly consistent performance and a well characterized process.

Identifies and initiates process and procedural changes to improve process performance, robustness, productivity, safety, efficiency, and compliance

9. Hands on experience in designing, execution and data review for the experiments performed and should be well versed in data evaluation by Statistical approach.

10. Working knowledge and practical experience with drug substance and drug product manufacturing process (GMP regulated) from laboratory to clinical.

11. Strong communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, publication track record and a strong desire to learn, contribute and collaborate.

12. Write internal reports, technical documentation and other appropriate documents as required.
