What You'll Do:
As a Plant Manager, you would be providing overall leadership to manufacturing team i.e. Production, QAL, Maintenance, Projects & HSE function.. You will work with directing subordinates and delegating responsibilities through own behaviour towards the superior, colleagues and subordinates, according to the management/leadership principles of Lubrizol. You would be following the quality, environmental and safety policy of Lubrizol and showing on full commitment to the Quality and Environment Management System.
What We're Looking For:
• Manage the Health, Safety, and Environment programs at the site in a way that ensures 100% compliance with all laws, regulations and company standards, with a goal of zero injuries, spills, releases to the environment, or significant process safety incidents (fires, explosions, damage to assets and property, etc).
• Create, manage, and remain accountable for Plant budget (Salaries, Maintenance, Overhead, Fixed, and Utility Costs). Ensure the plant remains in compliance with all financial control procedures.
• Hold primary accountability to manage and develop the plant organization and plant manpower. Ensure that the employees possess the formal credentials, experience, training, and behavioural competencies needed to execute the business plan. Make full use of organization developmental programs.
• Ensure effective execution of production plan. Deliver the expected quality, efficiency, cost and delivery performance.
• Efficiently convert the raw materials into finished products. Realize the KPI efficiency expectation for both material and quality efficiency.
• Ensure and improve plant reliability, including managing and executing the short and long term capital investment
• Manage and develop the plant organization and employees. Maintain a high performing-high-ethics-high morale culture.
• Coach and Mentor continuous improvement/problem solving methods and in particular rapid, thorough, simple problem solving methods and full use of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Adjust) cycle.
• To support Employee Relations of the site in the most efficient way and continuous engagement with HR – giving feedback with implementation plans, etc.
• Maintain the Plant assets (land, buildings, processes, and infrastructure) in a way that ensures full realization capability of the plant capacity now and into the future.
• Communicate proactively and effectively with internal and external parties in a way that eliminates surprises and creates a positive image of the facility and the company.
• Carrying out individual assignments which result from operational necessity, and which are commensurate with duties if instructed to do so by the superior.
• Create and distribute various management reports. Perform adhoc analysis and procedure reports and recommendations for special projects as requested.
Skills That Make a Difference:
• University degree in Chemical Engineering and/or other Technical Engineering background.
• Proven track record in a process/production engineering role within a production environment.
• Previous experience and experience with Process Safety regulations and management systems, and all other related chemical industry HSES practices and requirements.
• Manufacturing supervisory experience of minimum 5 years.
• Can effectively work in a matrix organization.
• Strong communication and networking skills. Fluent in English and the local language. Knowledge of other European language(s) is an asset.
• Sound understanding and demonstrated competency in use of statistics, and various formal problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, 5-WHY, Use of PDCA, etc), LEAN Enterprise Systems are a plus.
• Experience in Industrial/Employee Relations is a plus.
