Position: Mechanical Operations Manager - Jhagadia

Location: Jhagadia, Gujarat, India

Experience: 8-15 Years

Qualification B.Tech (electrical/mechanical)/Diploma(electrical/mechanical) or equivalent/ M.tech (electrical/mechanical) or equivalent/Management degree

Purpose Statement

- To lead mechanical function team - Operation & Job Management of respective Division / Divisions and ensure that all the Assets must give rated performance throughout their rated life

- Responsible for Plant Maintenance with Optimization of Resources, improved MTBF and reduced MTTR so as to achieve Optimum operational performance with Optimum Cost and Plant Reliability through detail engineering, selection of Right equipments and maintenance strategy with best available technologies and Safe Maintenance Practices

Key Role & Responsibilities

- Evolve the best possible optimum solution to improve plant reliability in technical discussion with Process stream

- Identify the training requirement for entire Division Team for their Skill development and motivate them to train the down the line team to understand the chemical process and plant maintenance standard practices

- Account for close coordination with Operation - Production Team for Day to Day activities for Assets refurbishment Plan with compliance of all statutory requirement and Zero Tolerance on Safety Compliance

- Ensure implementation of maintenance & operations procedure and inspection checklist during activities execution

- Maintain availability, reliability and quality of equipment within safety standards and implement mechanical maintenance system with highest standard practices

- Analyze and authenticate P&ID(process identification) and PFD(process flow diagrams)

- Contribute towards improving efficiency of rotating equipment by implementing new tools & techniques

- Review the inventory on a regular basis to ensure availability of materials to perform the work

- Implement Energy conservation methods & take lead in improvement initiation by approving and authenticating the modifications to the existing plant for enhanced efficiency

- Authenticate the equipment selection and issues guidelines and specification for the same and authenticate the verified vendor equipment bills

- Monitor the preventive maintenance schedule and ensure its time bound completion

- Inspect and conduct pilot trials of critical/chemical equipment

- Plant shutdown schedules for all the required maintenance activities

- Review costing for new equipment, participate in Capex and revenue assessment

- Bring down the Maintenance cost through improvements & innovations

- Prepare the budget for the overall cost inflicted for maintenance

- Review the compliance to statutory/ISO benchmarking and standards pertaining to maintenance

- Support procurement department in identification of new vendors and follow up with vendors for the delivery new equipment in time

- Ensure that the workforce is highly motivated aligned to the company objectives
