Job Description
•Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental protection, occupational health, and safety.
•Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them.
•Safety Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies that promote a culture of safety among employees.
•Training and Awareness: Organize training sessions for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper handling of hazardous materials.
•Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
•Environmental Management: Oversee waste management practices, including the disposal of hazardous materials, to minimize environmental impact.
•Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare staff for potential emergencies.
•Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and analyze EHS data, preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies.
•Collaboration: Work with various departments (e.g., production, quality assurance, HR) to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into all operations.
•Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve the EHS management system.
